Career Mode Cutoff

The way that they've done career mode is that you get about 40 fights and he ends his career, but you can still fight with him online and stuff.

:) ...why the cut off for the career mode? Thats only 5 more fights then in Undisputed... Tell me its not true :)|||yep, it's true. it was confirmed here awhile ago.
i personally don't mind it at all. 40 fights to me feels like a perfect amount. i don't like it when it's too lengthy....no matter how good the career is, i'll eventually get bored and want to create another fighter anyway.

This is true. I was one of the guys who complained about this too when it was first announced, but then you think about it and realize it's not that bad.|||Well I'm disappointed. I hated in Undisputed how it made you retire. It made me feel like I had no control at the very end. I had a CAF in FNR4 with 52 wins and 5 losses (3 of them in my final two years) and I felt like I needed to retire as my glory days were behind me. At least you'll be able to keep your finished CAF and fight with him online and offline. I really would have like to have like 20+ fights in the lower leagues and get about 30+ in the higher ones before retiring.|||I am amused by the fact that someone can be disappointed in an inaugural title having more Career fights than a competitor's second chance.
That said, I understand why some people would be turned off by this. I cannot get into the details because it is proprietary information (y'all sick of hearing that line yet?). What I can tell you is that there are several reasons we limited Career to 40 fights. They all boil down to the same thing: it was what was best for the overall experience.
P.S. My captcha: "fringilloides indswed"|||I'm not really disappointed that it doesn't have many more fights then Undisputed, more I'm disappointed that it doesn't have as many fights as FNR4. I'm sure that I will love the game regardless, hell I even like Undisputed '10 (I hope I don't get flamed :) ) I just wanted to make sure and now I am.|||40 fights is a lot of fights , so I'm ok with just 40 fights. I think people want to be Jeremy Horn but thats not going to happen very often|||For me its not whether its enough or to much its just I'd rather not be told when I have to retire, Doc already said it was best for the game so I'm gonna believe him. I would like to retire on the fact that I've already beaten everyone and theres no newcomers or the fact that I've lost a few fights because of my old age or something similar. Eh, I'm sure I'll get over it once I'm beating someones face in :)|||Will our CAFs automatically lose their 35th fight by triangle? I know it was a low blow. Fedor, please don't armbar me.|||

its just I'd rather not be told when I have to retire,
This pretty much. I hate being TOLD what to do by a game unless its in the rules (sports games) or something really REALLY stupid to do (like trying to plant C4 on yourself in Metal Gear Solid)
