I hope they dont add the stupid counter window freeze like in FNR4.......

how the heck are you just gonna freeze with your mouth open after throwing an uppercut.....so unrealistic........the character just waits to get hit.........|||Shakira is hot |||

and fnr4 counter window is there to stop constant pressure fighter and it doesn't freeze one it freeze's both!|||I think they mean THe counter window is fluent not an exaggerated freeze s you know your next strike is a power hit and doesnt hang for like 2secs waiting on you to throw a punch.|||

DB I have a question about takedowns I was wondering about. Is it like UFC2010 where a well-timed takedown is always succesful, or will you always be allowed to have input of the blocking button regardless of the current action?|||

From what I remember it depends on both people. If you shoot for a takedown and they do not sprawl then they will get taken down. If the other person is blocking punches and you shoot for a takedown then they will get taken down while blocking. In a sense a well timed takedown can always be successful but only because the other person didn't sprawl or is doing something else.
In the build we played timing was still being worked on so it is kind of hard to say but from what I remember that was the basics of it.|||I hope you can strike counter a shoot takedown with an uppercut or knee for devastating effects, inline with EA hole risk vs reward.|||Good idea. We need to balance out the takedowns. Switching from striking to denial would be difficult at speed so the option to strike OR sprawl would make for more interesting defence.
