Being able to edit fighters

I think in EA Sports MMA you should be able to edit fighters. I think you should be able to change there shorts. You should be able to give them knee pads or ankle tape. In madden you are able to edit existing NFL players and give them gloves or change there face mask you should be able to give someone like Randy Couture knee pads or have the option to change the color of his shorts. In some of the trailers and screenshots I've seen fighters who always have there ankles taped like Jeff Monson and Bobby Lashley are seen without. To most people this isnt a big deal but to me it is because I want the game to be realistic.
Do you guys agree or disagree? Tell me what you think

knee pads, ankle wraps and what not are minor details but again, i definitely wouldn't mind. the ability to change fighter shorts is pretty big for me though, at leaaast give us 2 options, some fighters switch between your typical MMA shorts and vale tudo shorts. also for those who have had 2 different hair styles, it would be cool to be able to change that as well.
editing existing fighters moves on the other hand are a big no no for me, i might be fighting Randy Couture online throwing flying triangles at me ha.
|||i wouldn´t mind it either it would be cool if the game could be updated like nba live or 2k so if the figher has some new gear or something it would automaticlly be changed in the game or that you could change the clothes yourself |||

Changing gear would definetely be cool. Im with Kata on the stats thing though, there's a reason the team take so much time and try and make fighters as much like their real-life counterparts as possible - I don't want people then going in and messing with them. Although alot of people want to play as real fighters in the career mode, so it would be kind of inevitable if that was added.|||THQ has this feature for SmackDown! 2010 and it's pretty awesome. You should also be able to save the edited fighter. You should get a few slots/different outfits for your fighter.|||Barnett needs to have shoes in the game.
|||Why did you just make me look at Barnett's crotch?
But yeah, the feature would be sweet.|||I'd love to be able to mess around with the in game fighters appearances but agreed on the leaving stats and moves alone bit. Why anyone would want to change them is beyond me anyway.
Hairstyles, shorts, wraps/shoes, entrance gear etc. would be nice if we could alter much like how it is done in Tekken 6.
I'm sure Lashley, Monson aren't anywhere near finished though as they are wearing unbranded, generic looking shorts with no sponsors.|||

Thats probably just because they haven't signed all the sponsors that are going to be in the game yet because just about every fighter they have shown if not all of them haven't got sponsors on their shorts yet.|||

Because that´s where the action happens in his fights. :)|||

Well we know they have signed some sponsors and manufacturers but they haven't released their names yet either although some of their logos have been spotted around the arenas. I see Fedor is wearing his RVCA shorts.
What I was implying is that although Lashley/Monson aren't wearing ankle guards this may be because the models in the trailer are probably not complete. Interestingly though, Lashley's shorts in the earliest photos of him say American Top Team on the side whereas in the trailer this has been removed. Strange...|||I saw some pictures of the fighters that ea added today and I liked them but Overeem and Arlovski were missing there ankle wraps and Kevin Randelman was missing his knee pads. Also I noticed that Brett Rogers was wearing black trunks in the other pictures he is wearing white trunks I hope this means that we will be able to edit the fighters apperence.

I can use Ninja to help me make Shogun...or even a lightweight Fedor.|||Im talking about exisiting fighters being able to edit there apperence. But just the way they look not there stats that would be gay ea has developers to give the fighters stats for a reason. But there are many things that we should able to editied like Jason "Mayhem" Millers hair sometimes he has black hair with a red stripe and sometimes he has red hair with a black stripe. Bobby Lashley, Jeff Monson, Alistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski, Josh Barnett, and Tim Sylvia have been know to wear knee pads, ankle wraps or some of them wear both.|||I agree with everyone about being able to edit attires and/or even having alternate skins altogether, such as different hair for guys like Rogers or Mayhem.
I dunno, for me stuff like this always added to the overall replay value of the game greatly, even if I don't use it every day. The idea I can keep the game "current" is very, very appealing.
