THQ saying "difficult to give that clear reason to buy the 2010 edition&quo...

No wonder these guys were about to go bankrupt a few years back. It really looks like they're run by a bunch of morons. From making one of the shi*tiest games i've ever played to saying there's no reason to buy their game. I definitley hope EA can somehow get the UFC license if (when) THQ goes bankrupt.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6272803.html?tag=latestheadlines%3Btitle%3B1|||Thq won't go bankrupt soon as the new Darksiders, WWE, and Red Faction come out they will be back in the green. Also Thq has its empire of crappy nick games. I hope even if EA does pick up the UFC licence it doesn't give up on Strikeforce. To be honest I like having the ability to play with both rosters.|||idk if I want EA to get the UFC license. Because if they do what happens to all the guys that don't fight in the UFC and their digital selves?
But THQ/Yuke's can come suck my... well, yeah.|||

Darksiders sucks.|||Lol do you see them talk about how annualisation is though now? And at first they were like "We didnt have to put this or that in, but we wanted to do it". See, Undisputed 2010 was seriously built by features that were supposed to be in 2009 but they simply lacked the time to finish most of them.
Now they are struggling getting the game ready for 2011 lol. And another 30 fighters? Seriously, GTFO. I'd rather see them work with what they have, instead of adding more.
I saw another article where they blamed the iPad for their disappointing sales, these guys really dont understand that people whom returned their game last year, wont instantly buy the new version just because the 09 changed to 10.|||

Eh Poor mans Zelda. I was more commentating that they aren't going to be that hurt.
Poor sales are simple, game didnt really get a true upgrade and red dead redemption|||

I definitley don't think EA should abandon the non-UFC fighters. I'd hope maybe they could come to some sort of deal where they could have both, probably wishful thinking though. If I had to choose i'd probably stay with the non-UFC fighters just for the fact that those are the majority of my favorite fighters and there are much more options that are available like fighting in rings and different rule sets etc.|||UFC license for EA would be a bad thing for everyone who loves INTERNATIONAL mma. We all know how Dana and the Fertitta's act..
I remember one of the Fertitta brother's little speach at PrideFC 34.. "Im a big fan of MMA. UFC is my baby, now Pride is my baby too! I will not harm any of my babies" or something to that effect.
Less than a few months later Dana declares that one of these babies will be locked into a dark sellar for the rest of history, feeding on nothing else other than people's memories of the greatest mma promotion in said history.
Im so sick and tired of big american companies, buying up competitors, saying "oh we will keep this product going" only to destroy and put it in the grave shortly after.
EA has a better thing going with this non company exlusive thing. For realism, Strikeforce is nice, Dream wouldve been nicer (imho) or a few more real promotions. But most of these promotions (Strikeforce/Dream/WVR/M1-Global) are so far also less about monopoly than UFC is. They co-promote, share fighters etc.. I would've liked to have seen WAMMA succeed in unifying all these promotions, in terms of ultimate championships between them. Sharing fighters, caring for the FANS, which pay the fat paychecks for people involved, not the promotion stock owners.
So please, let EA MMA continue this route, and DONT get into the UFC monopoly which ruins it for fans and fighters alike in the long run!
We all remember the initial "If you sign up for EA MMA you will never fight in the UFC!" child rant. Dont let the giant baby stifle our lust for playing our favourite fighters in good games!|||
