Idea for a manager mode..maybe for 2011?

Hey, kinda new here. Well actually I was here for like the first few months when it was announced, but had some health things. So first I just wanted to say Im a huge fan of what this game is looking to be, a fan of mma overall, and am really happy and surprised to see how the developers openly talk and reply in threads and are trying to make this game amazing. Thanks so much :)
So anyways, a mode I always thought would be kinda cool would be like..a season mode in sports games, combined with the aspects of being a manager. What I envision is the ability to take a name organization ( Drea, SF) or even create one ( ie. Mystic.) and be the president and match maker for the league. I know its way too late for this years ea mma, but maybe it could be viable for next year since they will be able to focus on this kind of stuff now that the basics are done.
So heres my 'pitch' to this kind of mode
1. You create your league or tinker with an existing one.
- Create your fighting structure, ring, cage, octagon. Or go ahead and try them all out and keep fans guessing which their favorite fighters will fight in next! Tailor it even to the color of the ring, ropes, and banners hanging up, even invest in a big screen TV. Loved the pride entrances? Create your arena to hold that kind of epic entrance.
- Set your rules, 20 minute first round, 10 minute first and 5 minute second, three 5 minute rounds, or five 5 minute rounds. Enjoy kicks to a downed opponent's head ya sicko? Knees as well? Or dislike the elbows? You pick!
- Down to the smallest detail you choose how the fights look and go? Remember the blue gloves for both fighters, add that in, or make your own style! The announcers can range from Shamrock all the way to crazy pride lady. And if you like, there can be custom music for each fighters entrance, where even created fighters you choose who walks out to what ( I.e. download Scary for Gomi to walk out too.)
2. Create the fights! Create the Events! Create stars!
- As matchmaker you get to set up each and every event from your mma league. You go from signing the fighters, all the way to crowning them champions.
- Create fight cards tailored for the fans. Not only can you do monthly events wherever you choose, you decide who fights who. For special events like New Years Eve, or whenever you feel like it, negotiate with other organizations to have champion versus champion fights to get your organization on the map. Lets say in your league Tatsuya Kawajiri just became champion, why not invite gilbert Melendez over for a title clash to have an epic night. Or even host epic Strikeforce versus Dream events, where we will see who is the stronger organization.
- Create realistic title matches: In career modes in other games, often times you'll have to defend your title from the same guy 6 different times, we all know that doesn't happen in real life. Now, you get to choose who deserves it most. Who is next to take on Shinya Aoki? You judge on performances and who has the tools to give a great show, will it be Tatsuya who has gone on a three fight win streak? Or does a newcomer who just knocked out former champ Joachim Hansen present a more exciting match. and dynamically create years and years of realistic title matches, all the while manually battling them out.
- Have fighters who are struggling? You're league is not static, you get to cut fighters who just don't bring it every night, or sign up and comers, or stars from other leagues when their contracts end
- Is Ea mma missing that big name ( er herm..saku, genki)? Or perhaps you want to do some fantasy signings ( ie. GSP, Brock)? You can use any create a fighter and have them join your league as well, right down to the name being pronounced ( Ie. UFC 2010 FYODOR). So even if ea mma couldn't quite fit a guy in, you can create him and have him authentically in the manager mode and use him on any card.
- And of course, when creating these fights, you get to play them out. Imagine making a star studded card for New Years Eve, and not only set the match, but battle it out to keep your favorite on top. You pick the fights, but also partake in any you choose, and sim the ones you don't really care who wins in.
Manage it all, down to the last detail
- Being a manager requires lots of little things too. Budgeting can be turned on to allow for a more realistic experience, so right off the bat you cant just buy any fighter and make the pride arena, you'll have to start from small with a small stable of fighters and build big. Things such as signing contracts and judging whether you can afford them, or will you spend more on advertising first to get the fans there and then sign the big names.
- fighters get tired and need rest, so putting Fedor on every card will not be an option, or else risk injury or contract problems. Manage each fighter throughout the year and make sure you are putting all of your fighters out there to display.
I'm sure theres more stuff I can think of, but thats all i got for now.
Feel free to add anything you like, and just let me know if you guys would be interested in something , if not the same as this, maybe similar in concept? I feel it would be the mode i play the most. Even though I like the idea of creating a fighter who isn't real and brining them to the top, the thing I want the most is to make amazing match ups between all the fighters i am a fan of, and play them out in the game year after year.|||I'm not a huge wrestling fan anymore, but when I used to play their games I loved the concept of the GM mode they had. It would apply perfectly to a MMA game.
Good write up man.|||I think career mode is enough for this game. Creating manager mode would take too many resources from the most important aspect of the game , gameplay. Instead of adding manager mode they should put all their effort, money and time to get the gameplay great.|||Oh i agree, i mean its already too late to add much in that way anyways.
But, for the inevitable sequel next year or after, since they have pretty much the basics down in terms of gameplay, i assume they will have lots more time to dedicate to things such as game modes and that kind of stuff|||I would like if they focused on gameplay only for until 2012 then they could start to add things while improving the gameplay to 2014. I think by that time the gameplay should be in pretty good order, so they could start to add extra things like very deep create modes and in the end add the Manager mode. That´s not gonna happen ofcourse but im just saying what i would like :)
