haven't used Xbox since MGS4 so I can't give details, but on PS3 just do this:
When said bug occurs.... Press the PS BUTTON to go to XMB (cross media bar), under NETWORK highlight ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT (when offline it says "sign in"), press TRIANGLE, choose SIGN OUT (can't remember what it exactly says, might be LOG OFF). You will exit online and be put back to the Main Menu, no need to restart system.
When back online, if you are paired with the person that froze before, back out. Most likely will happen again.|||

cool thanks for help!|||I feel its the player's connection, that above player mentioned causes the same problem with me. Two times before, that bug occurred with that user. The third game worked but lagged badly and he was disconnected.|||

Doesn't work like that on the 360, at least for me.
The entire OS freezes, you can't bring up the dashboard or anything. Ejecting the disc does the trick though. But then I have to listen to the EA opening, and a brief second of that awful Linkin Park song, and then I have to wait to connect to the EA servers after I have to select my storage device. :)
It doesn't matter if there's a way around it by messing with the network, it still needs to be fixed.|||Agreed a permanent fix is needed.
On Xbox if using a wired connection, try disconnecting the Ethernet cable. That's the best I can think of if your dashboard won't open.|||

I have a bigger issue when I do fight him. He is a huge parry spammer and he rarely throws the first shot.|||Maybe the game knows that, and it's trying to warn us :)|||This is a huge problem indeed! It happens when your opponent b1tches out and then you end up getting facked having to sign out and in again. Had it happen to me 3 times in a row, now thats frustrating, and it was that piece of dogsh1t called adiga_fighter or something, what a wh0re

I have no problems connecting to jhardbody, had quite a few wars with this dude|||u dont have to do any trick with the ps menu, just pull ur internet cable out of ur ps3 (or out of ur router if ur using wireless) and plug it back in|||

hardbody is the biggest bum in the top 100
i fought the guy before in a 5 rd fight, i was aoki and he was super CAF bj penn and if i threw a hook and was hit while throwing it there was a 100% stun rate, so i had to try to place jabs all fight, i was up after 4 rds, winning rd 5 and he got a free TKO, doing the exact same thing thousands of times eventually payed off after 23 minutes
he landed (LITERALLY) 160/1011 punches and at the end of the fight i had LESS stamina left than he did (i failed 4 or 5 TDs, which i only tried cuz i was stunned) and we both had over 95% stamina left, i landed something like 230 punches
the thng he does (i dont know if its a glitch or lag related or some exploit, i assume its an exploit of spamming the * out of the parry) is he parries so fast that when you see him parrying left he is already parrying right, so if you throw to the direction his guy is still parrying (animation wise) u will be able to land
