I think it's about time...

That the community stop demanding patches, hot fixes and player stat updates for every single problem they encounter on the game.
I know i myself am guilty of making such posts on this forum, but it has just struck me that every single time i log into these forums, there is ALWAYS someone * about something that THEY dont like about the game. It's getting pretty tedious and boring. There are bigger things in life to worry about people. YOU can never please everyone in life, so why expect the devs to be able to please every single community member that wants to put forward mostly destructive criticism?
I think we should just leave the Devs in peace now - They have put together an amazing game, that's actually really fun to play and does have amazing replay value (contrary to what i say to possibly me!)
If people have ideas of what will make the next (if ever) EA mma game better - Jrod set up a topic about that, so go put your ideas forward instead of demanding that it all be fixed immediately.
I think the devs have done enough for this game and its community - So just man up and just enjoy the game as it now is.
I know some people reading this will not agree with what i have just said - So if your going to try and disagree, atleast put forward a well thought out, balanced and constructive argument.
Let the controversy commence...

|||I have never acually seen what happens here before, a developer taking direct input from the community. I think the fact that they listen is encouraging everyone to try and get changes done that THEY think will improve the game.|||I agree... Over the last few weeks especially the Developers of this game have been listening intently and asking for feedback from the community and taking that feedback and working with the testers and a few stand out community members to bring us this complete overhaul of this amazing game.
Sure some things need work... but think back 4 months ago when many in this community said the devs have left us and moved on... Well look at the game now. I'm running into more and more new players and this game has a completely different feel than it did 4 months ago. I think its time we continue to suggest minor tweaks to this game but start looking at the future.
EA Sports has always shown that if there is interest and a positive community behind a game they will do everything they can to continue that game. So thats where our focus needs to start turning. This is a great game that as I said still might need a few tweaks but overall its the absolute best MMA out and now we need to help EA build this game into a franchise. So keep those suggestions and improvements for EA MMA 2 coming and lets show EA that this can be a successful game.|||I agree 100%|||They've done a fantastic job the last few months. I don't think there are any game breaking complaints like there were before, props to the Devs for fixing them.
I honestly dont have any complaints about gameplay right now that are realistic to be fixed. The only one I'd like to see changed is the CC punches being faster and the overall unbalance that comes with having 2 different control schemes but it'd rather live with that than go with the hack job of a control scheme they have in FN Champion.
bottom line is, we don't know if there is an EAMMA2 or not. If there is going to be one, then I'm all for them letting this one be and start working on new moves and positions and such for the second one. If there is not a second one then I hope we get as many little tuning updates as possible to this one.
Bottom line for me is this: my guess is that there won't be a second one, so I don't agree that we should stop asking for updates.|||

I think the bold part is a misconception many players have. If EA had totally given up on this game they wouldn't be allowing the amount of work the team is still doing on it to continue. I know there is alot that I know that others dont that can't be talked about, but the simple fact that EA is still allowing these guys to continue working on tuning this game is a good sign that there still is hope of using this engine for a sequel. Obviously things will change but strip this down to the bare bones and its a perfect engine for the next installment with typical EA improvements such as what king is asking for. More moves, fight styles, clothing and attitude options etc etc etc.
But if EA had completely given up on MMA they would of abandoned any of the major fixes we've seen to date. Obviously things like the Live Broadcasts and online severs they can't abandon because they were back of the box features but no company is required to continue to work on a product once its released and the fact that EA still is should give us hope.
|||Nrg, are you feeling okay bro? This post makes you look mature, you better fix that! Haha|||

Agreed its a good sign that they are working on this one, but it could also be a bad sign that they aren't working on the second one already. Unless someone here knows the details of the strikeforce-EA contract its all speculation.
Until we get confirmation of a second one I'd say we keep asking for as many updates as we can get.|||

It was already announced that should EA MMA 2 get the green light it wouldn't be released until sometime late 2012 so they have alot of time. EA wants to alternate between fighting style games with MMA one year and Fight Night the next year. Besides this could be considered all work on EA MMA 2. EA won't completely redesign a new game from scratch. EA is a proven believer in just taking what they have tweaking and adding features and selling it as a new game. So all of these tweaks could be considered improving the engine so all they have to do is add the new features and alter what they have to when the dust settles on the Strikeforce side of things and poof we have EA MMA2.
As far as Strikeforce-EA contract I don't think that will play a factor at all. We all saw that Strikeforce fighters didn't have the appeal to sell a game|||

Still the same me - Just reading through the forums earlier properly for the first time in ages. Everyone complaining, moaning - so just thought i'd get people to show the devs some McLovin!|||It's certain folks that have some kind of sense of unwarranted self-importance that make threads that have {!!!!111!!one Devs must read!!!!11} in the subject line, as if their opinions are so much more important than others'.
However, those whiners, er, posters, that did so seem to get everything they beg for, so maybe to get the takedown mechanic changed I should become a whiny puss and post a bunch of DEV MUST READ NOWZORZ posts.|||totally not the point of this post but...ok|||Yep....theres a couple of them in this thread right now! And you people have to be crazy to think you'll see a "King Seyton's MMA 2"........LMAO.......yup......he helped kill this game DEAD!!!!!

It's a fair assessment. That it sold what it did is a testament to the awesome work of the devs -- it succeeded in spite of it's roster, not because of it.
God knows Undisputed only sold what it did because of the UFC license, it's definitely not because of the game.
