Ughh...I keep thinkin it'll get better but it doesn't :)
I got the MMA bug this afternoon (I still love this game :)) and decided to go get a few fights in. I was able to get two fights in that lasted about 15 minutes total. It took me about 45 minutes to find these two fights. That's 3/4 of my time looking for a match :/
At one time there were 14 Championship fights and 33 regular fights in HW! And I couldn't find a match forever! I know I'm ranked 2 and personally I don't WANT to fight any guys who are ranked less than like 200...but ughhh it's so frustrating, I know that there are at least a few guys in the top 200 fighting but I don't get matched w/ them!
If you can't do this in the patch, at least look into it for MMA 2...we need more advanced search options! If I could somehow search through every WC at the same time, I'm sure it'd help. As of now I go thru the whole search process twice for HW, then go twice for LHW, then twice for MW, then do it all over again (I haven't gotten matched for a WW or LW match forever, and those are my favorite weights :/ but not even worth trying nowadays).
I've already posted this once or twice but ughhh it's so frustrating. I used to be able to get in like 5 fights an hour, now it's 1 or two. I don't really wanna retire but I really should from ranked matches b/c I'm wasting my life looking for fights (wasting my life fighting is bad enough :)).
Better matchmaking! It's key to online, which is key to longevity of the game and the rep of the franchise!|||I agree with you 100%
Hook spamming is one thing, but 50% of the time we can't find matches.
Remove the Belt based Match Making that i think is built in.|||See thats what happens when your so good no one wants a piece lol. If you really want a fight perhaps a new account I know many people who have Multi accounts myself included ImDoneItsOver and WEFL_IDIO (both Blue belts ATM) Now if your looking for better competition then I guess you just hang in there and wait....|||The problem is I'm not even getting matched w/ people :/ If people wanna duck me that's fine, but I don't even get matched up w/ people in the first place lol
I don't wanna make a new account b/c I always thought that was a cheap way to screw people over.
One top 10 CAF spammer made a new account and I had the pleasure of fighting him when he was a blue belt and I was a black belt w/ red stripes. I didn't know it was this kid...until I saw his 'usual' CAF and his 'usual' gamey tactics. He ended up beating me and I lost like 50 pts or something, just b/c he's using a new account. If I made a new account I'd be getting matched up w/ guys ranked like 500 when I'm a white belt and when I won it'd set them back a * ton b/c 'I'm a n00b white belt'.....I just think it's lame lol
It's alrite I still have some good leagues I'm in and FNC is coming out, I just got my 1000 fight done of all-time so that's cool...I wanted to get to 1000 wins before officially retiring from MMA but at this pace it'd take til July or August|||I have noticed that the game match up system is based on WIN-Losses when I had a 9 fight streak going the game matched me up with players about the same as myself when I lost my streak I fought players with loses, Its Not just based on your belt rank or even points. From My exp the match making goes like this Wins-Losses-whatever is available. By chance are you on some massive win streak? Oh and I know its frowned upon in some games where points matter but I dont really see this particular game as one of them How are point even given in this game lol|||Naw ever since I've really started having trouble I've been in the top 2 or 3 on the leaderboards w/ no win streaks above 10...my last 10 fights have been the worst when trying to find a matchup and I haven't had a win streak higher than 4 :/
I'm pretty sure you earn/lose points based on how many points they have compared to you. Rank + belt color don't matter, all about how many points they have compared to you. If you have about equal pts, you win/lose about 25ish points or so...
I have about 13000 pts right now; if I fight against a guy w/ 11000 and win I'll earn about 15 points, if I lose I lose about 40 pts. That's what it seems like to me anyway, wish we could do some scientific research on this haha|||I Know right :)|||I am having the same problem...two matches an hour just does not cut it. So i cracked and made a new account to play on. I will say that it is unfair as you work your way to a title shot, but once you get there you get matched up with higher belts or whoever is the champ searching. I have fought a white master, red and black belts. You honestly get way more matches because no one knows who you are so they don't dodge. The same guys who were high belts in championship fights whould have never faced me if i was on neyney00. I suggest you try it. You should work your way to a title in a total of maybe thrity minutes and then as long as you retain you can get some solid fights against more experienced opponents.|||The matchmaking system works quite well... but sadly the ONLY way matchmaking works is with a much larger online community.
Gah, I hate to say it but it is pretty small. Only around 10,000 total players every week? Man gamers these days are retarded. They have this gem of a game for only 40 dollars, but most still flock to the broken UFC game or just don't like MMA.
I think they should remove the matchmaking altogether. Random opponents at all times, matched up for connectivity and nothing else.
I usually hate games without matchmaking with a passion, but for this game it would work very well without it. If you are hugely outmatched, the game will be over in a matter of a minute or so. You'll find more fights, having some lopsided ones but still you'll at least have some fights.
For me and other "newer" players (Not a lot of Ranked time, A TON of Fight Cards and Career) it doesn't seem like a big deal. But I can see how when you're a top tier fighter, you'll have a lot of trouble finding matches. And that just doesn't seem fair.|||I don't think rank has anything to do with it. I'm a Master's white belt and seem just as likely to get matched up with a blue belt as another masters or black belt. They need a quick match option that covers all the weight classes. It's the only way to get a fast matchup with fewer than 50 players online at anytime. It worked well for FN3.|||I don't think I have played a masters belt but I almost always have to play blue belts and up (I'm just a yellow). I know I'm not very good at the game, so now I just play and don't mind the losses...other than losing to a white belt earlier today for the welterweight title. :)|||One update we could use is simply seeing how many people are playing per weight class. It would help us at least flock to one or another point instead of being spread out over 5 divisions.|||thats already there HW usually has the most followed by LHW you see the numbers before you select your division|||0 matches in 2 hours, if i didn't have my laptop next to me playing rome total war i'd go insane :)|||I'm with you on this, I love the middleweight division, but I'm often stuck fighting the endless Fedors in the heavyweights because I usually don't have the time to spend half an hour to wait for each fight
I've been just shy of my 100th win for over a week now, and I've spent so much time waiting for a matchup each time I play that I wind up having to go to work before getting a fight in >:/
ps: I'm a blue belt and stuck dealing with this
