Real experience!

I just thought id post to say, top job EA. This is easily the best MMA game I have ever played. I know you're copping (undeserved) stuff from some people so thought it might make you even a little bit happy to hear about someone enjoying the game as intended.
Last night in career mode I had two seriously epic fights. Both title defenses, the first versus Cung Le and the second a rematch with Dan Henderson.
The match with Cung was dangerous. I am a generalist with a focus on submissions but have been boosting my striking so I'm no chump on the feet.
Of course Cung was going ballistic with kicks so I kept my distance and used the leg kick to slow him down a bit taking any opportunity I could to take him down and wear on him. I suffered a big knockdown in the second round but managed to recover and throw up an armbar. Cung defended and it was back to the feet. I dropped him with a great combo in the 3rd round but his chin is iron. I also went for a couple submission attempts but his defense was too good. This went back and forth until round 4 when Cung dropped me with a big head kick as I was throwing a punch. Down I go. I *just* managed to scramble and recover and got the sweep. I blocked his transitions so his stamina was down and then stood it up. He came in with a flurry of kicks but I timed him perfectly and dropped him with a roundhouse to the head. A few punches and it was match over. My buddy and I were literally on our feet.
Later that night I had my next fight with Dan Henderson. I was taking him lightly because I beat him easily in our first fight with an armbar. This time was different. Dan was being smart and lighting me up on the feet. I was trying to maintain distance with the leg and midsection kicks and throwing the odd flurry here and there. The fight went back and forward for 5 rounds! with each of us being in the dominant position. Round 5 came and I was trying to grind out a decision as Dan's chin was iron and he was defending my submission attempts. Then in the last minute I sprawled a takedown and transitioned into the mount. A little bit of ground and pound and then I slapped on the Americana. He tapped with 30 secs left in the fight. I was sooo pumped!
This is just career. I really cant wait to play this with a group of friends!!
Thanks for the good times EA :)

Trust me man, you take this game online, you will NEVER go back to single player EVER(well maybe to power level a CAF).
Not that the SP is bad or anything but this game really opens up once brought online. Playing this game in Single player is like playing Super Street Fighter 4 in single player.... it just pails in comparison to real life competition. You take the good with the bad online and sure there's some grade A twerps out there but nothing beats the excitement of a good fight.|||Thanks for the reply :)
Yeah I definitely want to go online. My xbox doesn't have an internet connection at the moment so will probably have to wait until I buy a new xbox with wi-fi built in around xmas. But in the meantime I will definitely be playing some local multiplayer with a few friends. Make a little fight card hehe|||My advice is keep in mind why you lost a fight. Then don't repeat the same mistake. You getting caught and flash KOed, don't leave your chin out and don't take random strikes you know won't hit. You getting submitted or beaten on the ground, learn the ground game or learn to avoid it.
Too many people are coming in here rage posting about fight loses without properly thinking it through (cause obviously it can't be their skill, it has to be some exploit/OP move the other guy is doing).|||I'm totally with you. That's the beauty of this game, you can tell why you lost or got into a certain position. From this you learn and evolve as a player. Also you can change your tactics to suit who you're fighting. Maybe we can have a match when I eventually get online. I'm sure i'll get schooled but it's the only way to learn! :)
